Behavioral insomnia of childhood (BIC) is highly prevalent, affecting 20-30% of children. Chronic sleep restriction has been linked to an array of medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, mood and anxiety disorders. We are developing technology to help parents establish healthy bed time routines for their children to manage BIC. Jozef Bartunek (OLV Hospital, Belgium), Matt Oldakowski (Curtin University, Australia) and Robson Capasso (Stanford Hospital) are leading this effort.
